Suspected Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Property Recovered

 

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit (SCIU), through information obtained from an ongoing investigation, developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for an address in the 5300 block of N. Canal Road in Spokane County.   Three suspects were arrested for various felony and misdemeanor charges/warrants.  Investigators also recovered property believed to be stolen, suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, and other items of evidence.  

 

On July 20, 2022, at approximately 6:20 am, the Spokane County SWAT Team served a search warrant at a residence in the 5300 block of N. Canal Road in Spokane County.  SCIU Investigators developed probable cause to obtain the search warrant through an ongoing investigation and several reports of drug trafficking, possibly stolen property, and other criminal activity at the location.

 

Several people were detained and later released without being charged.  Three suspects were arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail for various charges.   Investigators recovered property believed to be stolen, suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, and other items of evidence.  This remains an active investigation, and additional arrests/charges are expected.    

 

Chelsea R. Berry: a 31-year-old female, was booked into the Spokane County Jail for a Washington State Department of Corrections felony warrant.   She also has a pending Idaho State Probation Violation warrant.  

 

Richard V. Jendro: a 32-year-old male was booked into the Spokane County Jail on local misdemeanor warrants, Trip Permit Violation, No Valid Operator’s License 1st Degree.  He has a pending Bonner County, Idaho felony warrant-Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 

Austin J. Cherogatti: a 30-year-old male was booked for Violation of a Domestic Violence Order of Protection.      

 

SCIU Detectives continue to process the property and evidence recovered.  This investigation continues, and additional charges/arrests are expected.
