Fatal Motorcycle Crash at N. Greenacres and E. Alki

Spokane Valley Deputies and Traffic Unit Investigators responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle/vehicle crash at the corner of N. Greenacres Road and E. Alki Avenue.   

On August 31, 2022, at approximately 4:40 pm., Spokane Valley Deputies were called to the scene of a motorcycle/vehicle collision at the intersection of N. Greenacres Road and E. Alki Avenue.

Deputies arrived at the scene, observing Spokane Valley Fire personnel providing CPR and medical attention to the adult male rider of the motorcycle.  The adult male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.  

The driver of the car stated that he was traveling east on Alki Avenue and proceeded into the intersection after stopping at the stop sign.  The motorcycle was traveling north on Greenacres and collided with the rear passenger side of the vehicle. 

Despite everyone’s efforts, the motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Initial information indicates the driver of the car was not impaired and has not been charged.

Speed is believed to be a factor in this deadly crash. 

This remains an active investigation.  Anyone who witnessed the crash and has not been contacted by Deputies is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233, reference # 10115307.
