ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Bigelow Gulch Rd - Phase 6
Improvements to Bigelow Gulch Road include clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation, embankment compaction, precast concrete drywells, culverts, pedestrian tunnel, structure excavation, illumination system. Completed: November 30, 2022.

Forker Rd: from Bigelow Gulch Rd to Progress Rd
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes): Progress Road open at Bigelow Gulch/Forker Road. Open at Progress Road – use as detour. Intersection of Wellesley and Sullivan is open with a traffic signal. Outside lanes are closed.

Progress Rd: from Wellesley Av to Spokane Valley City Limits
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Progress Road from the intersection of Progress and Bigelow Gulch – to the intersection of Crown and Progress. Use detour route.

Sullivan Rd: from Upland Dr & Ct to Wellesley Av
Flaggers may be present (both directions, all lanes). The intersection of Wellesley and Sullivan is open with traffic signals. Outside lanes are closed.
 
Sullivan Rd: from Wellesley Av to north City Limits of Spokane Valley
Sullivan Road is CLOSED from the intersection of Wellesley and Sullivan Road to the City limits. Traffic signal is operational.
 
Wellesley Av: from Progress Rd to Tolford Rd
The intersection of Wellesley and Sullivan is open with traffic signals. Slow down and watch for flaggers.
 
Country Homes Boulevard-Wall to Division Street
Improvement of Country Homes Boulevard by planning the asphalt concrete pavement and applying hot mix asphalt inlay paving. The project includes cement concrete pedestrian ramp replacement, temporary traffic control, traffic signing and striping. Completed: October 31, 2022.

Country Homes Bv: from Wall St to US-395 (Division St)
Lane CLOSED (both directions, all lanes). Motorists should slow down, watch for flaggers and also watch for signs of a possible full road closure and dates. Watch for Flaggers. Watch for signs of a possible full road closure and dates.
 
Elk Chattaroy Road-Laurel Road to Drew Lane
Preparation of existing roadway for placement of HMA overlay along with tree clearing, crushed surfacing shouldering, traffic control, signing, striping and other work. Completed: October 31, 2022.

Elk-Chattaroy Rd: from Laurel Rd to Drew Ln
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). There may be possible lane closures. Please slow down, watch for flaggers and wait for the pilot car to guide you through the project.

Euclid Road Bridge
Removing and constructing new bridge and road approaches; including asphalt pavement, signing, striping, erosion control, filter drain, beam guardrail, and miscellaneous structures. Project start TBD/tentatively begins in late November 2022.

Euclid Rd: from Bridge #1508 over Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks to Lyons Rd. Road Closed: Bridge is closed. Use Detour.

Northeast Spokane County Rumble Strip Project
This contract provides for the improvement of Argonne Rd., Bruce Rd., Forker Rd. and Moffatt Rd. by adding rumble strips, flexible guideposts, and guardrail reflectors, etc. Completed: October 31, 2022.

Argonne Rd: from Columbia Dr to Bruce Rd
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists may experience some delays. Slow down in the work zone and watch for flaggers.

Bruce Rd: from SR-206 (Mt Spokane Park Dr) to Stoneman Rd
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists may experience some delays. Slow down in the work zone and watch for flaggers.

Forker Rd: from Morrison Rd to SR-206 (Mt Spokane Park Dr)
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists may experience some delays. Slow down in the work zone and watch for flaggers.

Moffat Rd: from Forker Rd to Peone Rd
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists may experience some delays. Slow down in the work zone and watch for flaggers.
 
West Terrace Stormwater Project
This contract provides for the improvement of Hayford Road and Richland Road by construction of a storm sewer system. The project includes catch basin, corrugated metal pipe, drop inlet, cutoff wall/pipe anchors, unsuitable pipe foundation, dewatering, and paving. Completed: July 1, 2023.

Hayford Rd: from Westbow Rd to Richland Rd

Comcast Proposes Bore and Place Conduit (sub. Sefnco)
Comcast proposes bore and place conduit with 0.625 Coax., splice and relocate existing pedestal to 214 S. Craig Rd. Completed: November 4, 2022.

Flaggers may be present (both directions, all lanes).

Repave Roadway
Red Diamond Construction crew is repaving the roadway after a water main break. Date: November 1, 2022.
 
Columbia St: from Parkhill Dr to Little Spokane Dr
Road CLOSED to thru traffic at N. Cincinnati St and E. Parkhill Dr.
 
ROAD MAINTENANCE
