
Residential Fire Investigation Near Deer Park - Deceased Person Located Inside
Major Crimes Detectives continue to work with Fire Investigators to determine what caused the fire at a residence near the City of Deer Park and the cause of death of the person found inside.
On March 21, 2023, at approximately 7:10 pm, Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to assist with a fire at a residence in the 36500 block of N. Echo Road near the City of Deer Park.
Spokane County Fire District 4 responded to work on the active fire and later discovered a deceased person inside.
With the cause of the fire and what caused the person’s death not yet known, the scene was secured, which is standard procedure when the cause of a person’s death is unknown.
Major Crimes Detectives are working with Fire Investigators to find out what caused the fire, how the person died, and if this was an accident or possibly criminal in nature.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the decedent's name along with their cause and manner of death, when appropriate.
