
Join Us: Spokane County Sheriff Explorer Program’s Open House on March 29, 2023, from 6:00 -9:00 pm
Are you interested in a career in Law Enforcement? Are you between the ages of 16 and 20? Our Explorer Program is a great way to learn and gain valuable training to begin your journey in Law Enforcement.
The Spokane County Sheriff Explorers are hosting an open house on March 29, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm for older teens and young adults interested in learning about the Explorer Program or an exciting and rewarding career in Law Enforcement.
The open house will feature several displays and demonstrations by Sheriff’s Office specialty units, including:
EDU – Explosives Disposal Unit (Bomb Squad)
SWAT – Special Weapons and Tactics
SRASU - Spokane Regional Air Support Unit (Helicopters & Unmanned Aerial Systems)
The Spokane County Explorers assist with major community events, attend classes relating to many topics in law enforcement, participate in scenario-based training, compete at statewide events, and have opportunities to ride along with patrol deputies. Explorers gain community service hours, knowledge, and firsthand experiences throughout the many areas of policing.
The Open House will be held at the Spokane Regional Air Support Unit (SRASU) hangar, 5505 E. Rutter Ave, Spokane, WA. 99212, and it is FREE and open to interested youth and their parents. Juveniles under 16 years of age may attend, accompanied by an adult.
