
UPDATE: April 13, 2023, Deputy-Involved Shooting Suspect Released from Hospital and Booked into Jail on Felony Charges
The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Jeremy M. Bausch, involved in the Thursday, April 13, 2023, Deputy-Involved shooting, was released from the hospital and booked into the Spokane County Jail for charges stemming from the investigation, which began on April 12, 2023.
Major Crimes Detectives investigated the domestic violence incident that involved the suspect, his mother, and later, two Deputies after Bausch pointed a firearm at them and developed probable cause for charges of Robbery 2nd Degree (DV), Unlawful Imprisonment, and two counts of Assault 2nd Degree prior to the Deputy-Involved shooting incident on Thursday evening.
Bausch was released from the hospital on May 5, 2023, transported to the Spokane County Jail, and booked with his bond set at $2,000,000.
The Spokane Independent Investigative Response (SIIR) Team continues to investigate Thursday evening’s incident that ended with Bausch being taken into custody after a lengthy standoff.
