[ARCHIVED] Death Investigation in North Spokane County

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives are investigating the death of a male found in a residence located in the 3000 block of East Lincoln in North Spokane County. Spokane County Deputies initially received the report of a deceased person inside the residence yesterday morning at approximately 8:30 am. Deputies responded to the residence and discovered a deceased male who appears to have been inside the residence for an extended period of time (possibly months). Due to the extended period of time and condition of the body, Major Crimes Detectives requested a search warrant for the residence earlier this morning. Since this is an unattended death under unknown circumstances, detectives will continue this as a death investigation as is protocol. Detectives believe the male lived an extremely isolated lifestyle and did not have much, if any, contact with his neighbors. Detectives will work with the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the deceased and notify next of kin, as well as the cause and manner of death.
