Major Crime Detective Investigate Death


Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives are conducting a death investigation after the body of a deceased adult female was located in a car in the parking lot of Walmart in Airway Heights.  

This afternoon at approximately 11:45 a.m., Major Crimes Detectives were notified by Airway Heights Police Department Detectives of a deceased female located inside a vehicle in Airway Heights. 

With information the deceased, who has not yet been positively identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office, may be associated with a Spokane County Sheriff’s missing persons report, the scene was immediately secured and Major Crimes Detectives and Forensic Personnel were called to the scene.

Detectives will process the scene and continue the investigation until the cause and manner of this persons death is determined.     

The Spokane Medical Examiner’s Office will release the decedent’s name, along with cause and manner of death, when appropriate.

This is an active investigation and no further information is available at this time.
