[ARCHIVED] Update: Subway Armed Robbery Suspect Vehicle

SVPD

Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives located surveillance video from a neighboring business that captured the robbery suspect arriving/leaving in a white 4 door sedan that appears to have a sunroof.

The suspect arrives in the vehicle minutes before committing the robbery at Subway located at 2114 North Pines on December 8, 2016.  After the robbery, he is seen leaving in the same vehicle.

The pictures are magnified from the far background of the video causing them to be pixelated, but detectives are hoping the vehicle make and model can be identified.  With these pictures, in addition to the robbery video released yesterday, investigators hope someone will come forward with information that helps identify the armed robbery suspect.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery, the vehicle in these pictures or can help identify the suspect is urged to call Major Crimes Detective Andrew Stockman at 509-477-3787.

Video of the robbery suspect is posted here on our Facebook Page.

Video of Armed Robbery Suspect

Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives are asking for your help as they work to identify a suspect who displayed a handgun during the robbery of Subway located at 2114 North Pines in Spokane Valley.

On December 8, 2016, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Subway restaurant located on North Pines.

Responding Deputies began to arrive within two minutes.  They were told the suspect walked up to the counter and displayed a black handgun.  He covered his face and ordered the employee to not look at him and demanded the till from the money drawer.  The employee removed the till and placed it on the counter and the suspect grabbed the money.  He picked up the cash he dropped on the floor prior to walking out of the restaurant.

The employee was unable to provide a detailed description of the suspect due to the clothes he was wearing and his effort to cover his face.  He is generally described as a white male, shorter in height (approximately 5’06”- 5’08”) and appeared to possibly be bald.  The victim believes the suspect appeared to be older due to wrinkles around the area of his eyes.

The suspect appears to be wearing a blue or black, heavier winter coat with a white or light gray stripe under the armpit area.  He also appears to be wearing blue jeans, black or dark blue shoes with white on them and a stocking hat.

The first video angle from surveillance footage of the incident shows the suspect at the counter displaying what appears to be a handgun and grabbing the money from the cash drawer.  The second half of the video shows the suspect walk into the business and up to the front counter.  He is seen picking up money from the floor before leaving on foot.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery or can help identify the suspect is urged to call Major Crimes Detective Andrew Stockman at 509-477-3787.
