Domestic Violence Suspect Sought

Spokane Valley Domestic Violence Major Crimes Detective Mike Ricketts is attempting to located 32-year-old Ian A. Anderson for questioning regarding a domestic violence incident that occurred on December 2, 2016 in Spokane Valley where he strangled a victim unconscious, causing her to fear for her life. Anderson has an active felony warrant for his arrest stemming from this incident and has a history of violence. 

On December 2, 2016, a victim reported she was assaulted and strangled unconscious by Anderson, causing her to fear for her life, after an argument turned extremely violent at a residence located in Spokane Valley.

Deputies searched the area for Anderson but were unable to locate him.  The victim was provided medical attention and information regarding the Domestic Violence Lethality Assessment Program (LAP), including contact information for a YWCA Domestic Violence Advocate.

Major Crimes Detective Ricketts is investigating this incident and is attempting to locate Anderson. 

Anderson has an active felony warrant for Assault 2nd Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment.  He is currently on active supervision by the Idaho Department of Corrections and is considered a violent offender.  It is unknown if Anderson fled the area but he is believed to still be in the Spokane County or North Idaho region.
