Detective would like to Identify this Male

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is asking for your help as they work to identify the male in this photo.  We understand the picture is of low quality and pixelated but we are hoping someone who knows the male can help identify him.  The male is a suspect in a robbery that occurred at Walgreens located at 7905 N. Division last month.

On December 6, 2016, at approximately 1:50 a.m., a store employee noticed the male select a phone charging battery and another unknown item from the photo printing area.  The male’s actions led the employee to become suspicious and she moved to the exit door while she continued to watch him.  She hoped he would notice he was being watched and either pay for the items or put them down.

The male brazenly walked past the check-out counter without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.  As he walked toward the exit and the employee, she told him she needed the items back.  The male continued to exit and walked right through her, knocking her backward, escalating the theft/shoplifting to a robbery.  He pushed the sliding entry doors open and was last seen running to the west along the south side of the store.

The male is described as being in his late 30’s or early 40’s.  He was wearing a “puffy” black jacket, black jeans and a large beanie type hat.  The victim stated the suspect may have red hair, was unshaven, and had no visible scars or tattoos.

If you can help identify this suspect or have any information regarding this crime, you are urged to call Detective Marc Melville at 509-477-3325 reference incident number 2016-10028978.
