Spokane County is seeking your input on an update to the County's Comprehensive Plan. The Growth Management Act requires this review to occur every eight years to ensure that the plan reflects community values and is consistent with state planning laws.
Spokane County has a diverse landscape presenting many challenges. Land use range from desert, forests and productive farms to dense urban areas within the urban core. The Comprehensive Plan addresses these challenges with a set of goals, policies, maps, illustrations and implementation strategies that states how the County should grow physically, socially and economically. The Plan emphasizes innovative and flexible strategies to guide growth and development that recognizes the interests of the entire community.
The County has scheduled two public workshops on the update as follows:

The purpose of the public workshop is to provide for early and continuous public participation regarding the 2017 Update to the Comprehensive Plan.
