
Announcing our Newest Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies
Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich welcomed six new deputies after they were sworn in on Monday, January 30, 2017, in front of their family, friends and new coworkers.
These new deputies are now part of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the Spokane Valley Police and our community. Please help us welcome them as they begin their exciting and new career as the work to keep our community safe. May they gain wisdom to make the correct decisions and may they remain safe as they attempt to ensure the safety of others.

Deputy Natalie Woolard
Deputy Woolard is 28-years-old and comes to us from Spokane County Detention Services, where she had been employed since 2014. She was born in Arizona and brew up in Philipsburg, Montana. She has experience as a woodland firefighter with the US Forest Service and Idaho Department of Lands.
Deputy Logan Henry
Deputy Henry is 32-years-old and was born and raised in Vancouver, WA. He served in the U.S. Navy from 2003-2007 and most recently, he was employed by the Department of the Interior as an Operational Sergeant tasked with site security as a member of the USBR Response Force at Grand Coulee Dam.
Deputy Ryan Nelson-Felvarg
Deputy Nelson-Felvarg is a 25-year-old Spokane resident who graduated from North Central High School in 2010. Since 2015, he was a Spokane County Detention Services Officer prior to being hired by the Sheriff’s Office. For “enjoyment” he stands in front of a net and catches/deflects hockey pucks.
Deputy Ryan Nuvill
Deputy Nuvill is 41-years-old and has just recently moved to the Spokane area from Big Bear City, CA. He served in the United States Marine Corps since 1995, with 2 combat deployments to Iraq, and is a Master Sergeant. His last duty assignment was at Camp Pendleton as Operations Officer.
Deputy Cassandra Erickson
Deputy Erickson is 37-years-old and is making the move to Spokane to join our agency from the west side of the state. She graduated from the University of California in 2002 with a degree in English and while at U.C. Berkeley, she was a member of the water polo team. She has worked in the commercial aviation industry as a pilot with multi-engine, instrument, commercial and CFI ratings.
Deputy Lorenz Mina
Deputy Mina is 25-years-old and originally from the Philippines. His family moved to Waialua, Hawaii when he was 8, where he lived until enlisting in the U.S. Army in 2010. He was active duty until 2014 as an Infantry Medic (Specialist) and still serves with the U.S. Army National Guard. Since 2015, he was employed by Spokane County Detention Services.
