Roadway Open After Serious Injury Collision

Spokane Valley Deputies responded to the scene of a two car, serious injury, collision on 32nd Avenue, west of SR27 just before 1:30 p.m.  While Traffic Investigators worked to determine the cause of the collision, 32nd Avenue was closed between SR27 and Clinton for several hours, but is not open to traffic.

The collision occurred this afternoon, just prior to 1:30 p.m. when a westbound white Honda passenger car crossed over the center turn lane and struck an eastbound Honda CRV.

Both drivers were injured and transported to a local hospital.

The adult male driver of the white Honda sustained possible life-threatening injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.

The adult female driver of the Honda CRV sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing but investigators believe impairment is a factor.
