Prolific Crime Fighting Team Set to Retire
Probably the most well-known K9 in the area, Spokane County Sheriff’s Office K9 Laslo is retiring March 1, 2017 and his partner, after accepting a promotion, Corporal Jeff Thurman will being a new chapter in his career as a member of the Property Crimes Task Force.
Respected by criminals and cherished by our community, one of the most active, successful and beloved crime fighting teams is hanging up their leash at the end of the month but no need to worry; they will still be together.
Laslo, a 7-year-old German Shepard, was paired with Corporal Thurman in January 2013. Since that time, they have been assisted with the apprehension of over 470 criminals while helping keep our community, their partners and each other safe.
Here’s a GREAT story about Team: Laslo & Thurman by KREM 2's Jane McCarthy & Brett Allbery. Thank YOU!
