
Serious Injury, Head-on Crash, Medical Lake Four Lakes Road
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit Investigators are at the scene of a serious injury, head-on collision on Medical Lake Four Lakes Rd. between Craig Rd. and Medifor Rd. The roadway will be closed for approximately two hours during the investigation.
This morning, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported two vehicle, head-on collision in the 14500 block of W. Medical Lake Four Lakes Road.
Arriving Deputies learned an eastbound Silverado pickup crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound Suburban. The adult driver of the Suburban had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Silverado received minor injuries and was not transported.
Due to the serious nature of the injuries, Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit Investigators were called to the scene, as were SIRT volunteers to assist with traffic control.
With the initial information learned at the scene, distraction/inattention appears to be a factor in this collision. At this time, investigators do not believe impairment played a roll. Medical Lake Four Lakes Rd. will be closed for approximately two hours while they process evidence at the scene and work to determine a cause of this serious collision.
