[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Charges Dismissed in court-Officer Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge

UPDATE: At first appearance in Spokane County District Court today, the charges in the case were were DISMISSED.

Officer Arrested on Domestic Violence Charge

Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 51-year-old John H. Scott, a Spokane Police Officer, for one count of misdemeanor Assault 4th Degree (DV).

On July 10, 2017, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a residence in North Spokane County regarding a domestic disturbance. 

Deputies arrived and conducted interviews with the persons involved and witnesses.  At the conclusion of the investigation, Scott was determined to be the primary aggressor and he was arrested. 

Medics were not needed during this incident. 

Scott was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for Assault 4th Degree (DV).  The Spokane Police Department was notified of this incident and subsequent arrest.

As this is a misdemeanor charge, the investigation was forwarded to the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Officer for review.
