Warm weather can literally be a killer for your dog if you leave it in your car. On a warm day, the inside of your car heats up very quickly. When it’s 85 degrees outside, the temperature inside your car – even with the windows open – can soar to 102 degrees in 10 minutes.
Leaving your dog for “just a minute” may be too long.
Dogs do not sweat like humans. Once a dog overheats, it can sustain brain damage – even death - in “just a minute.”
