Road Construction and Maintenance Update
December 11-18, 2020
SPOKANE COUNTY, December 11, 2020 – Spokane County crews began de-icing trouble spots early this morning and will continue sanding in all four districts today. Motorists are reminded to stay at least 30-feet behind snow equipment.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Geiger Blvd – Soda to Grove Rd
Geiger Blvd. is OPEN from Soda to Electric. Project includes new road surface, drywells, and signing. Completed: 06/30/2021.
Geiger Bv: from Soda Rd to Spokane City Limits (Electric Ave)
There are lane restrictions in all lanes and both directions. Motorists should use an alternate route. Electric Avenue and Thomas Mallon are open. However, Spotted Road remains closed. Please slow down and use extreme caution when travelling inside the work zone.
Pine Bluff Bridge #2609
Crew is stabilizing the Coulee Creek slopes below the bridge, installing short cast-in-place concrete walls that are anchored to the bedrock at the base of the slopes, placing shotcrete on the slopes with soil/rock anchors, and anchoring the habitat. Completed: 12/31/2020.
Pine Bluff Rd: from Seven Mile Rd to Carlson Rd
Motorists should expect delays in both directions and all lanes, slow down and watch for flaggers.
PRIVATE CONTRACTOR WORK BY PERMIT
Install Pole on Wall St.
Avista crews are installing a power pole at the back edge of the sidewalk. The project includes a new anchor on the east side of Wall in the 8800 block. Completed: 12/11/2020.
Wall St.: from Country Homes Bv to Jay Ave.
The northbound lane is closed! Slow down and watch for work crews.

Euclid Rd Bridge Closure
Euclid Rd Bridge is closed and a detour is in place. Replacing the bridge is the responsibility of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

Spokane County crews are repairing potholes, sweeping and grading gravel roads as the weather permits. Depending on weather conditions, crews are also de-icing, sanding, and plowing as needed.
