Airway Heights Seeks Input on King Street Project

June 4th deadline to finish and submit survey

SPOKANE COUNTY, May 21, 2021 – The City of Airway Heights is seeking input through a survey on a proposed demonstration project on King Street from 6th Avenue to 10th Avenue to increase safety and access to the Sunset Park and Sunset Elementary from the residential areas.

The demonstration project is for temporary or ‘pop-up’ improvements along King Street to demonstrate effective ways to include pedestrians and activities using wheels (bikes, strollers, skating, etc.) in the public right-of-way to make connections to destinations and increase activity for our community and increasing health outcomes. This project is funded by a grant from Smart Growth America.
