SPOKANE COUNTY, October 29, 2021 – Motorists are reminded that with some freezing overnight temps in the forecast, there may be patches of ice during the morning commute.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION
57th Ave- Perry St. to Mt. Vernon Rd.
Constructing ADA ramps, median island construction, HMA grinding and paving. The road is open to through traffic and speed reduced to 25-mph. Motorists should expect delays starting on Tuesday, November 2nd and are advised to be cautious around workers and equipment near the edge of the roadway. Completed: November 30, 2021.
Appleway Ave Reconstruction
Improvement of Appleway Ave. by removing asphalt and concrete pavement, planning bituminous pavement, grading and shaping crushed surfacing, HMA, guardrail, pavement markings. Completed: November 30, 2021.
Appleway Av: from Spokane Bridge Rd to Spokane Bridge Rd
Motorists should expect delays in both directions and all lanes at the intersection of
Appleway Ave. and Spokane Bridge Rd. Appleway from the Liberty Lake City limits
to Spokane Bridge Road is open to through traffic. Please slow-down in the work
zone.
Bigelow Gulch Phase 3
Road Reconstruction (remove and replace), culverts, stormwater, guardrails and illumination system. Completed: October 31, 2021.
Weile Ave: from Thierman Rd to Bigelow Gulch Rd
Motorists should expect lane restrictions (both directions, both lanes). Road is
OPEN!
Columbia Dr-Northwood to Argonne.
Roadway Excavation, ADA ramp installation, pavement removal and repaving. Lane closures and flagging. Completed: October 31, 2021.

Frideger Road Bridge Replacement
The road is CLOSED while the existing bridge is being removed for the construction of a new structure over the Little Spokane River. The project includes the removal of the existing roadway and widening with the construction of the new roadway. Completed: October 31, 2021.

Wellesley Railroad Crossing Improvement
Removing pavement, crushed surfacing top course, HMA, cement concrete curb, guide posts, pavement markings, permanent signing, temporary traffic control. Completed: Dates vary – see below.

Asphalt Overlay on Various Roads in Spokane County
Overlay is a paving method of applying a new layer of asphalt to a deteriorating surface.
Seven Mile Rd: from Inland Rd to River Rock Ln.
Motorists should expect delays in both directions and all lanes. Be prepared to stop
