DivisionConnects - Transportation and Land Use Study
Needs Public Input
SPOKANE COUNTY, December 6, 2021 – DivisionConnects is a collaborative two-year transportation and land use study, led by the Spokane Regional Transportation Council (SRTC) and Spokane Transit Authority (STA), in partnership with the City of Spokane, Spokane County, and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
The first phase of the study concluded in Spring 2021 and identified a preferred alternative for bus rapid transit (BRT) along Division Street (connecting downtown Spokane to past the North Division "Y"). The second and final phase of the study, currently underway, is looking at land use opportunities that can leverage the future transit investment as well as supportive active transportation connections along and through the Division Street corridor.
How to Participate: The study has launched a new "Land Use Story Map & Questionnaire" for the public to learn more and provide feedback on areas along Division Street that may have potential for land use improvements in alignment with BRT investment. The study has also launched another public engagement opportunity to gather input on supportive active transportation options (walking, biking, rolling).
Links to these public engagement opportunities, as well as additional study information, are accessible through the project website at divisionconnects.org.
