Road Construction and Maintenance Update

SPOKANE COUNTY, December 10, 2021 – The local forecast calls for strong winds and snow tonight and into Saturday morning. However, temperatures will be warming up so the snow will turn to rain and melt by the end of the day. Motorists are advised to be alert for possible icy roads during the evening and early morning hours.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Appleway Ave Reconstruction – Road is OPEN
Improvement of Appleway Ave. by removing asphalt and concrete pavement, planning bituminous pavement, grading and shaping crushed surfacing, HMA, guardrail, pavement markings. Completed: December 15, 2021.
Appleway Av: from Spokane Bridge Rd to Spokane Bridge Rd
Motorists should expect delays in both directions and all lanes. The road is open
with one-lane restrictions. Please slow-down in the work zone and watch for
flaggers.
