Regional Solid Waste System Announces Rate Increase

Takes Effect on Jan. 1st at North County and Valley Transfer Stations

  
SPOKANE COUNTY, December 16, 2021 – The Spokane County Regional Solid Waste System today announced an increase in rates at the North County and Valley Transfer Stations. The change will go into effect on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Please note that all of the Transfer Stations will be closed on January 1, 2022, in observance of the annual New Year’s Day holiday.  For more information, go to www.spokanecountysolidwaste.org.

Rates Starting Jan 1, 2022

Garbage per ton - $112.00

Garbage minimum fee - $17.00 (first 280 lbs, includes the $2 EPC*)

Clean Green per ton - $54.00

Clean Green minimum fee - $10.00 (first 300 lbs, includes the $2 EPC*)

* A $2 Environmental Programs Charge (EPC) is added to the transaction for every vehicle.

  • Valley Transfer & Recycling Station                                                                  3941 N. Sullivan Road (South of Trent across from Spokane Industrial Park)
