Spring Compost Fair & Arbor Day Celebration

SPOKANE COUNTY, April 3, 2017 – With sunshine and warmer temperatures coming our way, it's time to start cleaning up the yard and flower beds...and time to start composting!

On Saturday, April 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the Master Composters and Recyclers will be at the John A. Finch Arboretum demonstrating how to start composting at home. In addition, Spokane County residents from jurisdictions participating in the Regional Solid Waste System may take home a FREE compost bin (limit one per household). These bins are provided by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology. Please arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. and bring proof of residency (driver's license, utility bill, etc.).

For more information, call (509) 625-6580 or go to www.spokanecountysolidwaste.org.
Partial funding provided by the Washington State Department of Ecology.
