Traffic Restrictions and Delays

SPOKANE COUNTY, October 12, 2018 – The Project Spotlight for this update is Forker Road from Jacobs/Progress to Brevier. The road will be closed this weekend, October 13-14. A detour map is available at www.spokanecounty.org/publicworks. The road will reopen on Monday, October 15th for SINGLE LANE TRAFFIC. Please slow down and watch for flaggers!

CONSTRUCTION

2018 Pavement Removal & Replacement
Removing existing pavement, & replacing the pavement and other work as needed (Regal Phase 1, Whitworth Phase 2, Liberty Phase 3). Spokane County Public Works: Construction: (509) 477-3600.

Regal Rd: from 57th Av to 57th Av
Road Closed: Road will be closed all week for adjustment and grinding. Local access only,

Whitworth Dr: from Hawthorne Rd to Wall St
Road Closed: Paving Tues & Wed. Detours in place, 09/12/2018 - 10/31/2018.

Whitworth Dr: from US-395 to Hawthorne Rd
Road Closed: Road closed Striping on Monday Road will open after striping is completed,

Liberty Dr: from Melkapsi St to Tum Tum Dr
Delay (Both Directions, All Lanes): Be prepared to Stop. Flaggers may be present, 09/12/2018 - 10/31/2018.

Bigelow Gulch 5A
Improvement of the Bigelow Gulch Corridor connecting Forker Road to Progress Road via a new alignment north of the existing intersection (Forker & Progress). Spokane County Public Works: Construction: (509) 477-3600.
 
Forker Rd from Jacobs/Progress to Brevier Rd - CLOSED
Forker is closed the weekend of 10/13-14/2018. Detour map available at www.spokanecounty.org/publicworks. Road reopens Monday 10/15 for single lane traffic-watch for flaggers! Spokane County Public Works: Construction: (509) 477-3600.
 
Progress Rd: from Forker Rd to Spokane Valley City Limits
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Construction beginning on the next Phase of Bigelow Gulch. Work will be adjacent to Forker and Progress Road. Look for trucks entering roadway, 05/29/2018 - 12/31/2018.

Forker Rd: from Jacobs Rd to Progress Rd
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Road is open. Work will start adjacent to Forker, allow extra time, expect delays. Flagging one lane traffic. Be prepared to stop,

Bigelow Gulch/Forker Intersection
Impacts to Bigelow Gulch from Palmer to Forker due to construction activities for the reconstruction of the intersection. Spokane County Public Works: Construction: (509) 477-3600.

Flaggers May Be Present (Both Directions, All Lanes): Drivers are now on the temporary alignment. Speed limit is 25mph from Evergreen to Progress, slow down, use caution and watch for workers adjacent to roadway. MAINTENANCE
(Road maintenance projects are subject to change due to weather conditions and other road maintenance priorities)

Asphalt Patch

Culvert/Drywell cleanout
Crews will be cleaning culverts & drywells as part of Stormwater maintenance. Spokane County Public Works: Maintenance: (509) 477-3600.

Grading
Grading operations are dependent upon weather, If we get sufficient rain graders will doing roadways. Spokane County Public Works-Maintenance: (509) 477-3600.
