Road Construction, traffic restrictions and delays

May 24-31, 2019

SPOKANE COUNTY, May 24, 2019 – We have construction and maintenance projects throughout the county. Please remember to slow down in work zones and watch for flaggers. Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend - which kicks off the summer travel season!
Adding a roundabout. Paving to start the week of 5/27.

Bigelow Gulch 4
Clearing and grubbing, house demolition, adding culverts, guardrail and pavement.

Bigelow Gulch Rd: from Argonne Rd to Evergreen Rd
Flaggers May Be Present (Both Directions, All Lanes): REDUCED SPEED LIMIT 35mph. There will be lane restrictions. Construction activity on South side of existing Bigelow Gulch 04/23/2019 - 09/30/2019.
Carnahan & Glenrose
Installing a new Round about, removing asphalt concrete pavement, roadway excavation.

Glenrose Rd: from Carnahan Rd to 21st Av
Lane Restrictions (Both Directions, All Lanes): 21st Ave will be local access only. Beginning 5/6/19. Work on the 1st Phase will be Northeast of the existing intersection. Trucks will be entering roadway 04/30/2019 - 09/30/2019.
Transit Stop Crosswalk Safety Project
Improvement of transit stop and crosswalk safety for Wall St and 57th Ave by installing marked crosswalks with refuge islands, transit stop landing improvement.

Lane Restrictions (Both Directions, All Lanes): Sidewalk work, lane restrictions. Expect delays.
(Road maintenance projects are subject to change due to weather conditions and other road maintenance priorities)
ROAD CLOSED, local access only. No through traffic.
Little Spokane Dr: from Little Spokane Ln to Shady Slope Rd
Road Closed: Road closed from 4/29/2019 to 5/31/2019- Will start paving various areas the week of 5/27.
Crack Seal Crew
This Crew will cone off large areas, expect one lane traffic, slow moving vehicles & be aware of Flaggers.
Grading for Dust-oil
Graders working to accomplish Dust-oil requests, slow moving vehicle, stay at least 50' back.
Pot Hole Repair
Pot Hole Repair County wide
Road Grading
Road Grading County wide as weather permits.
Street Sweeping
Street sweeping of Arterials, moving into residential areas next, be cautious of slow moving vehicles.
