Traffic Restrictions and Possible Delays

June 7-13, 2019

  
SPOKANE COUNTY, June 7, 2019 – Road crews are working throughout the county on various construction and maintenance projects: Please follow traffic/detour signs, watch for flaggers and slow down in work zones.  

CONSTRUCTION
Aero-Westbow
The South Leg of the roundabout is closed and detours are in place. Expect lane restrictions and delays. Aero Road East of the intersection is also CLOSED to through traffic and detours are in place.

Bigelow Gulch 4
Crews are clearing and grubbing, adding culverts, guardrails and pavement – and there is construction activity on the south side of Bigelow Gulch.  Flaggers may be present (Both directions, all lanes). The REDUCED SPEED LIMIT is 35mph. There will be lane restrictions.

Carnahan & Glenrose
Installing a new roundabout, removing asphalt concrete pavement, and roadway excavation. Expect lane restrictions and 21st Ave will be local access only. Glenrose Road, west of Carnahan will be CLOSED due to utility work on 6/17. Use alt route.

Transit Stop Crosswalk Safety Project
Improvement of transit stop and crosswalk safety for Wall St and 57th Ave by installing marked crosswalks with refuge islands, transit stop improvements. Expect lane restrictions and delays.

COTTAGES ON HAVANA RIGHT OF WAY WORK
Havana St: from 28th Ln to 25th Av
Lane Closed (Northbound, right lane) east side of Havana at 2621 S Havana.

GEIGER ROAD RIGHT OF WAY IMPROVEMENTS
GEIGER ROAD RIGHT OF WAY IMPROVEMENTS - Geiger Blvd. from Hayford to Thomas Mallen is CLOSED until 8/1/19.

INSTALL COUNTY SEWER - LITTLE SPOKANE DRIVE SEWER EXTENSION & INVERTED SIPHON
ROAD CLOSED, local access only. No through traffic on Little Spokane Dr: from Little Spokane Ln to Shady Slope Rd

MAINTENANCE
(Road maintenance projects are subject to change due to weather conditions and other road maintenance priorities)

Road crews are working throughout the county on various maintenance projects: Crack-sealing asphalt, grading gravel/dirt roads, applying dust-oil, filling pot holes, and street sweeping. Please follow traffic/detour signs, watch for flaggers and slow down in work zones.  

Hazard Road Closure due to washouts
Hazard Road from Dartford Drive to Rivilla Lane is closed due to washouts. The area is expected to remain closed until repairs are completed in early July.
